Change a Girl's Life: Why This Campaign Matters to Us
Lighthouse Therapy Hub founder Shauna Tiffany on The King's Trust campaign that is changing the lives of young women across the UK.

Shauna Tiffany knows what it feels like to be a young woman facing the world without a safety net.
Growing up in foster care, she experienced first-hand what it means to navigate life without the foundations that so many take for granted. No stable home. No consistent support. No clear path forward. Just a young person trying to make sense of a world that had not always been kind to her.
That is why The King's Trust Change a Girl's Life campaign means so much to her personally.
The campaign, which has been backed by the Watches of Switzerland Group as headline sponsor for a second consecutive year, exists to support young women facing barriers to education, employment and training. It is not about charity. It is about recognising that talent, ambition and potential are everywhere. But opportunity is not.
For Shauna, Lighthouse Therapy Hub is her contribution to that same mission. Every child who comes through the door, every young person who finally finds a space to be heard, every woman who decides that her past does not have to define her future. That is what Change a Girl's Life looks like in practice.
Shauna was awarded The King's Trust National Young Changemaker Award in 2026, recognised for the work she has built through Lighthouse Therapy Hub and for what she represents as a care leaver who refused to let her circumstances become her ceiling.
She is proud to champion this campaign. Not because of what it says about her, but because of what it says about what becomes possible when the right people decide to show up for young women who need it most.
